Campaign start dates

British Sugar has today announced the factory start dates for the 2007/08 sugar beet processing campaign.

The dates are:

Newark:       13th September
Bury:            17th September
Wissington:  17th September
Cantley:        24th September

Colm McKay, British Sugar’s Head of Agriculture, said: “In general, yield projections are good and having discussed start dates with the NFU we are keen to give growers plenty of time to plan their harvesting and delivery schedules."
